If you want to fly in and leave your guns at home, we have excellent doubles available for you to use. Meals, dogs, drinks, ammunition, and bird cleaning are all included during your stay. We’re bird hunters ourselves, so we know what upland hunters need to have a successful ruffed grouse and woodcock hunting trip in northern Minnesota.
Our goal is simple: help you step away from the everyday grind and enjoy your time in the Northwoods. From the moment you arrive, everything is handled so you can focus on the hunt, the dogs, and time in the woods.

Comfortable lodging and great meals are part of the experience at Pineridge Grouse Camp. After a long day walking Northwoods covers in pursuit of ruffed grouse and woodcock, guests can relax, unwind, and prepare for another day in the woods.
Each day begins with fresh coffee and a hearty breakfast—often farm-fresh eggs—before heading out to hunt. While afield, you’ll enjoy a traditional field lunch before continuing through the covers.
After the hunt, take a hot shower and relax with your beverage of choice while we prepare signature grouse and woodcock appetizers, followed by dinner such as Chef Sam’s stuffed wild rice chicken or a steakhouse-style prime rib. Evenings are often spent around the table sharing stories from the day’s hunt before settling in for a quiet Northwoods night. RV hook-ups are also available for guests traveling with their own accommodations.
If you prefer not to travel with a firearm, Pineridge Grouse Camp can provide one. Available guns include classic doubles such as Parker and L.C. Smith shotguns, along with models from Upland Gun Company. We focus on traditional upland firearms, and for safety reasons, we allow only over/under and side-by-side shotguns in the field.
We also keep a full range of shotgun gauges and ammunition on hand. Many guests bring their own beautiful doubles, and each week often turns into a bit of an informal gun show celebrating American—and sometimes English—craftsmanship in upland shotguns.
